A very good decision

In the summer of 2010, saw the Tv series " Skins" a Tv series from UK. I was 16 and then, thought: " I have to leave Chile and go to the UK". Don't ask me why, but I couldn't take off that idea of my mind.

In that time I was taking classes of sax, especially Jazz music. My idea was go there and play the sax on the streets and then maybe join to any band, get married and have a lot of kids.

A friend of my parents was waiting for me in London. I had some money saved and I made my bag, but the earthquake came.

I couldn’t leave my family in that grave hour; our house has broken equal as my journey.

I don’t know what would happened if I went to there. I just know I want to be a musician, a free person. But know I know that not go there was the best decision. I know living abroad it’s hard for anyone, even if you are young and full of life and ideas.

For those who don’t know, currently I’m living in house in Chile. I don’t know if some day I’ll travel to an English speaking country as England or the U.S.

The best movie ever

I really like watching movies. There are movies that really make me feel things, good things.

In this entry I will show for those who read this, a list of movies.

The first one on my list of movies is: “Back to the future”, a 1985 American science-fiction adventure film. It is directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg. About this movie I can say it is awesome, this movie is one of the best ever.

I can remember other movies such “The Godfather”, this movie is really exiting; the mafia in the U.S. during the last century. This movie has the best script ever, don Vito and his family are really cool. When I’m watching this movie, I can’t stop. I think the first part is the best one between the three parts.

The last movie that I watch is “The King’s Speech”; the soundtrack is better than the movie, and the final scene with Mozart in the back, it’s just amazing. That makes me feel really good; it’s has a good script and really good story about the English Royalty’s drama.

But there is a movie that I think is the best movie that I’ve watch ever, “Mr. Holland’s Opus”, a movie that makes me feel good about the choice of study this career.       

A good TV show

The best TV series for me is "Los Protegidos", a spanish Tv series. It´s about kids who have powers. But bad guy want to catch and use them for doing crimes an other bad things.
Mario and his son Carlos, run away of a organization in their city; but he needs answer about the powers of his son. In the way he find Ximena, a woman whos her daughter is taken for this organization and then, the bad guy want killing them. They has to leave their city and make a folse family, with thier new kids, carlos , Lucía and 3 others: but they are not safe yet, so they have to care their new sons of the bad guys.

This Series has a lot of things that I like, for example the way they to escape, leave their old lifes and their real families.
Well this Tv show is different of the other Tv shows that I´ve seen because it´s has a new drama, and all the other Tv shows have things that are'nt interesting for me, because I've seen a lot of Tv series and this one has a lot a reality even when it´s about fantasy.
When I see this "Los Protegidos", I feel the drama that they are living, don´t ask me why, that currently this it´s the Tv show that I prefer.

The Music Of My life

The music is the engine of my life. Every thing I ever do is for music.

In my old house, I had a neighbor who was a musician; he taught me how to play the saxophone. After that, I joined a jazz band here in Santiago. When I was 16 or maybe 17, I saw my life as a musician, so before finished the school, I took class with a new teacher who taught me how to play the language of jazz and play others instruments like clarinet and piano.

I finished the school and I signed to a music institute, but didn´t went there anymore. Don´t ask me why, but it was the right option.

In the other hands are my favorite artist; the first one on my chart is Benny Goodman, an American clarinetist; in the sax my first artist is Dexter Gordon.

I also like clasiccal music and my favorite singers are the Three Tenors, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras; last year I was in a concert of Jose Carreras, It was awesome.

For the jazz musician, most of them are died, so the only way I can hear they is in CD’s , DVD’s even at YouTube.

Bilingualism

When I think in Bilingualism, the first thing in my mind is people who their parents are from different countries. For example; I was born in Chile but my parents are from the US., so I will learn the Spanish and the English as well.

In the other hand we´ve got the people who study other languages, different of their mother tongue. For those who study other languages, the different one is quite difficult to learn.

I’m studying English pedagogy, but even if I learn English I don’t think I shall be bilingual, because Bilingualism is more than learn languages, it’s keep incorporated in mind different languages of your own mother tongue . In other words bilingual people are they who can think in 2 or more languages; they who don´t need study the language.

Writing

Well, I prefer reading, but writing is also very interesting and I get fun with both. Writing in English is quite difficult for me, because I´m learning this language for the second year at the university. My mother tongue is Spanish and I try to do my best learning English. When I write in spanish I feel more confidence but when I dot it in English I don´t think so.

When I have to writing something in English I often use a dictionary because is need to used it when I don't know any word.

This is my second year at The university Santo Tomás and I´m at the Argumentative Course for my first time. I expect learning the complete program that Miss Veronica has for us. I think this course will be very interesting for me and useful for knowledge.
